What accessories/make up/props etc would go with a castaway/survivor costume?

I'm in Link Crew so I've got a dozen freshmen and we need to come up with clever costumes for them to wear on their tour of our high school building. So I came up with a castaway/survivor idea pun (or whatever) being that they're ';surviving'; high school. So anyway all I have is the idea what should the costume be like? It needs to be very cheap because I've got 12 of them. So like bandanas, face paint, etc. what would look best and be easiest? I just saw a ';Survivor' costume in a catalog.





Their thought behind it was a white t-shirt, with khaki's, green leaves around the arms and scattered about tattered hair, a dirty face, and it looked like a television made to frame the face. In my opinion, I thought the television looked dumb.





If you did the greenery, the face, messed up hair, matching white t's and khaki's, have the t's tattered and torn you'd be good. Especially with it being a group of people. Id you wanted to, you could get a Stencil and write Surviors on the back of the T shirt in a font that would be stenciled on the outside of a shipping box. The bandana's that you mentioned, if you picked them up at a dollar store and they all matched they could wear them Survivor style. Some around their head, the girls around their body, others around their arm, etc.





It would be really cute, and pretty cheap. Most of them probably have a white T-shirt they wouldn't mind ruining for the cause, they all probably have khaki's and they aren't ruining them, so all you really need is the dirt, paint, bandannas, and greenery.

Get a Wilson Volleyball, put red paint on your hand, and make a big hand print. Put a face on it and pull out some of the insides.

A spear of some sort, maybe.
How about an arm bone or some type of fake bone to look like you ate the others in the insland?
