Do make up artist have to do special effects makeup?

like i just want to do regular makeup but would they expect me to do like i dk scars or moles things like that?Do make up artist have to do special effects makeup?

No you wouldn't have to do that if you worked for a specific make-up company like MAC, or L'Oreal, etc. I think you're thinking about stage-make up which is a whole other career path in iteslf.
No, Not at all!! If that is something you want to do then try it out! I work as a MUA and not all of ours do special effects.
Im a makeup artist and no i have never had to do special effects.





However its pretty easy and really cool to learn.



They just put a lot of blush on a person's face so it gets all powdery.
