Try a moisturizer with green tea. It's really good for calming the skin. You can also try a tinted moisturizer to ease into the process of not wearing makeup. That's what I did-and I rarely wear foundation or concealer. put two aspirins (not coated) in a small amount of hot water.
and after the aspirins are dissolves in the water wear it as a face mask for about 5 minutes. this reduces redness
You can also use a small amount of sea salt instead or with the aspirin
use acne cream i use umm crap its sumthin and clear try it

How should I do my make-up for the first day of school?
I'm having trouble deciding what to wear for school. I put on liquid eyeliner on the top of my lid, eye-shadow, eyeliner, mascara, foundation, powder, and lipgloss. Is that too much?How should I do my make-up for the first day of school?
it depends how old you are. I am 14 and used to wear a ton of makeup, but then i started getting lazy and just wore powder, mascara and a little eye shadow and everyone told i looked so pretty! To much makeup looks awful and it takes a while for a teen to realize that. don't other do it or it will look like your trying to hard. wear a TINY bit of eyeliner, just a LITTLE, simple eyeshadow and not to much mascara, because then people will really see your eyes. don't wear foundation AND powder because it will look extremely cakey on your face. just sweep a little powder on. and then either go with a very nuetral pink or sheer lipgloss. or clear. people will see your natuarl beuty and guys will definatly notice you more! That is a lot of makeup, especially if it's hot or humid where you live - you don't want to be in the bathroom fixing it at every break and over lunch.
Focus on bringing out your eyes, and don't overapply the make up. Keep the liners in fine lines and don't overapply eyeshadow, as you want a day look, not to look as if you're going out dancing!
Keep the make up on your skin lightly applied - less is always more! - at this time of year, you can probably get away with just using the powder. Whatever you use on your skin, make sure it matches your skin tone - I am a shade darker in summer/fall due to tanning... (even though I wear sunscreen every day).
Keep the lipgloss neutral, and again, don't overapply. It also looks really cute if you just apply a tiny bit of a goldish coloured one in the bow in the centre of your upper lip.
deciding what to wear and how to do your makeup depends on what impression you want to make on the first day................and that's not too much, I think it should be good enough. Oh and for the lipgloss, apply with your finger and blend it in so it doesn't come on too bright or too much, it'll look better that way! I hope this helps!

If your eyes are blue, wear brown eyeshadow, if they are brown wear green, and if they are green wear purple. Wear a berry lipstick, and some nice blush. Also, do your hair in an up-do.

For makeup, focus on softening and lightening ur skin tone a little with some foundation. Go with earth tones for color. A glistening copper/brown for eye shadow, and a shiny copper/light brown/pink mix color for lips. Get lash lengthening mascara. Very light eyeliner, brown or black. Add extra color to your brows, but don't draw them in too much. If you add blush, add it VERY little and use the same coppery/pink as the lips. Don't go to heavy on these, keep things soft and natural and you will look amazing!!!!!!!!!
becasue graduation is a special event, don't put on a bunch of make up, so don't put on like bright colors. stick to your skin tone-- kind of. if you have tan skin, use browns and goldish tones. if you have pale skin, use peaches, pinks, and other skin colors so it will make you look a little more natural than you wouldd with other colrs. if you have dark skin, use golds. as for your hair, keep it kind of conservative since it's graduation (kinda formal) with like a bun with a few long hairs sticking out at the forehead. or try clean wavy curls or something like that. hope this helps and good luck and your graduation.

As i don't know where you live, But i trained at Milton Keynes college, and there are many more colleges around the UK that do an introduction one or two year course that covers everything from Day makeup, evening, photographic, body painting, special Fx, catwalk makeup, avant guard makeup, wig work, basic hair dressing and basic beauty therapy. That can then go on to go to Universities like Southampton and London College of Fashion (and many more of course) or you can go into full time work with a makeup company and work up through the company like that, or you can become free lance.
Research into it and see if you can get on any courses. You'll learn so much and it's a really fun and rewarding experience.

I apply it at about 6:30a.m. for school. I use physicians formula mineral make up, eyeliner, and mascara.By about 8:30a.m. its off but i'm trying to keep it looking good till about 2:00-2:30p.m.I have somewhat oily skin on my nose and forehead.

Can a superior graphics card make up for a inferior cpu?
When i look at benchmarks for video games, i see that the most change in framerate occurs when u add a more powerful graphics card. So im wondering, would a gtx ultra and pentium 4 or d processor be good enough for gaming at least 30 fps at ultra high res, even with a game like crysis. Not that im going, lol, its simply stupid to get a ultra and not put in money for a core 2. But im waiting for the 8 core processors to come out and ddr3 ram before making any purchases.Can a superior graphics card make up for a inferior cpu?
Just changing one bottleneck for another but in games usually the 3d is the bigger bottleneck.

When I was playing the game 'railroads' the video card had no trouble with the graphics even at the highest resolution and at the start of the game with only a few trains no problem. At the end of the game when there are 80 trains running everything dropped to a crawl because of the CPU, graphics were still great, but gameplay bogged down because the mouse slowed, response time slowed, etc because CPU was overworked.Can a superior graphics card make up for a inferior cpu?
it will help but the cpu will become a bottleneck and slow things down. i wouldn't count on being able to use the high settings at higher resolutions.
Just changing one bottleneck for another but in games usually the 3d is the bigger bottleneck.

Start off your own small business by doing mobile beauty, going to people's homes and doing their make up. You'll make good money out of this all you need to do is save up for the tools you need and promote your little business. After the mobile business set up your own little parlour. You can be the make up artist who employs other make up artists, hairdressers, hair removers, etc. Start small and become big, just get them qualifications first. it's really not that hard to set up a mobile business.

Since you have red hair and blue eyes .You do not need a lot of makeup because most redheads are naturally pretty.Also since your very fair I would reccomend a tinted moisturizer instead of a heavy cakey foundation which will cover up your features .
A good tinted moisturizer would be covergirl smoothers its very light weight and will give you great coverage .
And for those small pimples just put concealer over them .Covergirl makes good concealer and doesn't come off at all..thats all you really need hun...

I wish I had an answer for you! If you find out, let me know!! Myself, I just stay away from anything (foundations and powders) that has too much blue tone in it. Every darker color foundation has the primary colors (red, yellow, blue) in it. The ones that have warmer tones, (more red than blue) are better for women with skin other than white.
Also, I've found that the bare minerals powder (dark) is the worst for making darker skin look ';ashy!';
Lots of makeup look ';ashy/gray'; on darker skinned women because there is too much pink pigment in them. Yet the majority of foundations/concealers on the market (drugstore) are make with too much pink. Try to go to a deparment store or somewhere like Perscriptives or MAC where there is a much larger selection of colours or they can custom blend.

During the day do not reapply powder - use blotting papers to remove excess oil - it won't smudge your foundation and you won't cake.

However, if you wish to keep your makeup the same way you applied it in the morning, it is almost impossible. First and foremost, the products that have a heavier coverage cause more grease and second, they can potentially clog pores. My suggestion is that you use a thermal exfoliator like Olay on a daily basis and then try one of the above-mentioned brands. These are the two that despite their texture did not cause any acne on my face. Also, with MAC, try their blot powder. You could blot your face with this in mid day. Good Luck!

Is it bad to use make up that is expired?
i don't anymore, cuz i went to get some new stuff but will it like effect my skin at all. i leave make up in my drawer and never use it but then when my face breaks out its been like months sicne i bouth it and its close to its expiraion date. so is that bad? just curious.Is it bad to use make up that is expired?

I actually do believe that it depends. Personally though I wouldn't use it if it became outdated because I would treat it like any other product I would get. Once it's old it's time for it to hit the trash. Not only because of the fact that the product has an expiration date for a reason but because I wouldn't want it to break out my skin or cause something else worse to happen.If your product smells bad or looks nasty just toss it!!

I think it is important to look your best at work. I work in an automotive store, it's dirty, and I wear makeup to work. You don't have to go all out and try to be movie-star quality, but put enough on so that you look fresh and presentable. Even if it's just concealer, powder, mascara, and lip gloss, it's something.
Not caring about your appearance can send the message to your superiors that you don't care about yourself, which means to them you don't care about the job either.

Well, I have the same skin type and eye color, so if I were you this is what I would do...
If you have foundation / bronzer / whatever, do your normal routine for that... if you dont need it, then dont use it :) then this is what i'd do..
Eye shadow -
-White/white-ish color on the eye lid (not too much, just for a little base color) ... you can also put a teeny bit under the eye brow to add some highlight if you'd like.
-Plum/purple in the crease of the eye lid and a LITTLE above it (this color brings out your green eyes and will match the accent of your shoe color)
-I usually put a shimmery bronze color very lightly above my eye lid up to the brow, just to help blend the color into the whole lid under the brow.
Eye liner-
-I would use either a dark plum color, dark blue, or black.
-put it ONLY on the top lid in the shape you like
-use the plum colored eye shadow to create a little shadow on the bottom lash line, starting on the outer corner of the eye and smudging it toward the inner corner.
Add some mascara on the top lashes, and use whatever lip color looks best on you, maybe one to complement your pink clutch (depending on the pink of course).

Well, I have the same skin type and eye color, so if I were you this is what I would do...
If you have foundation / bronzer / whatever, do your normal routine for that... if you dont need it, then dont use it :) then this is what i'd do..
Eye shadow -
-White/white-ish color on the eye lid (not too much, just for a little base color) ... you can also put a teeny bit under the eye brow to add some highlight if you'd like.
-Plum/purple in the crease of the eye lid and a LITTLE above it (this color brings out your green eyes and will match the accent of your shoe color)
-I usually put a shimmery bronze color very lightly above my eye lid up to the brow, just to help blend the color into the whole lid under the brow.
Eye liner-
-I would use either a dark plum color, dark blue, or black.
-put it ONLY on the top lid in the shape you like
-use the plum colored eye shadow to create a little shadow on the bottom lash line, starting on the outer corner of the eye and smudging it toward the inner corner.
Add some mascara on the top lashes, and use whatever lip color looks best on you, maybe one to complement your pink clutch (depending on the pink of course).

I find it much more relaxing if you don't try incredibly hard the first day of school so you can concentrate on your new classes and you're not worried about what people will think of your outfit. Wear something that's new but is something you'd wear on any other normal day.
Im a freshman and I don't really care much for my hair. I probably care more about how I dress though lol. I just keep a bedhead wax container near me and slap it on my palm, and work it through my hair. Whatever results I go to school with :) Well I mean you know if it turns out messy I'll fix it. Brown eyes are gorgeous, but if you use colors that are too light, it can make your eyes look smaller and darker. I would recommend using a golden tone on the lid. Then on the crease, use a brown that's a few shades lighter than your eyes. Lightly brush a shimmery light color under the brow, and then underneath your eyes, use the same golden tone you used on your eyelid. Don't put too much mascara on the bottom lashes though, because that can make your eyes look too small. Use less mascara and even a lighter shade.
Use a bright shadow to make your eyes look brighter and more noticeable.

Then apply a white/ silvery eye shadow right under your brows and in the corner of your eyes to give your eyes a more awake look. Then apply a coat of mascara and your good to go. I think that the thick liner eccpecially the black liner would be darkening your eyes even more. Good luck hope this helps.

what i do is use coco eyeliner from jordana.The coco eyeliner helps your eyes stand out and look a little bigger.Try using black mascara from mabalen new york.this will deff help your eyes stand out even if you dont use eyeliner.and for eyeshadow use a light brown.because you eyes are already brown the light brown eyeshadow will highlight your eyes.plus this wil give you a more natural look.and nobody will know that your using make up because your eyes will stand out more.but then again if you dont want to use brown eyeshadoe use a light green.the green will reflect off of your big brown eyes.

2 coats of ver black mascara.
then once its dry i curl them again.

But dont go to heavy with the eyeliner when your putting it on, and if you want to top things off, then use a little bit of mascara. Can you make your make up waterproof?
I know there is waterproof mascara and stuff but I have dark circles and other slight flaws and I have never found any waterproof concealer or anything..! So i was wondering if there is any creme or something you can put on your face to preserve your makeup when you go to the pool or beach ect. Or maybe any home remedies! i get embarassed going into the water looking fine and coming out looking like a monster! hahaha thanks =)Can you make your make up waterproof?
I use Dermablend. You can get this makeup from Dillard's', JC Penney. or Macy's. When you put it on, your skin looks TOTALLY flawless. Many people think that I just have good, smooth skin. And since I sweat alot, this is the makeup I use. No matter if it rains, I sweat or anything, this foundation will not run or come off. And you can go swimming in this foundation, it uses a finishing powder. And you won't need a concealer because it's a concealer and foundation in one. Modern women are defining themselves beautiful by what they see the idols, celebrities, wear and behave in the media. They make the connection of revealing wear and makeup to the celebrity status of those women and come to the wrong beliefs about the definition of beauty.
Of course it's not that simple to blame entirely on the media and the rich, since even at middle and high school age, they see the popular girls with all their excessive everyday makeup and most of the time revealing wear. And their wrong view about the definition of beauty is again reinforced by this.
Thus, the girls and women themselves try to not only wear revealing wear and makeup to imitate the rich and popular but also to fit into the society that kind of expects them to be beautiful just because they are born as females.
And I guess the clothes themselves are a problem too--what with all the sizes and fashion, it has become fashionable to show a ';hint'; of sexiness by little bit of cleavage and/or leg. Of course if left to the women themselves, they might have chose a little bit more modest cuts and designs to only show a small hint of sexiness but because we're not the dressmakers, that little ';hint'; became interpreted as BIG ';hint';. Thus, it has become hard to find good looking modest clothes. Every girl who wanted something modest has gone through this so much every time she shops that she compromises her level of modest to get some clothes, thinking ';ohh! it's only a 'hint' of cleavage! ohh! it's only 1 inch less than normal hem size.'; Well, those times are fine and dandy but sooner or later, before she realizes, she had compromises on her level of modesty A LOT and bought clothes that are revealing.
The makeup is all chalked up to the movie heroines, celebrities, models, etc. I mean have you ever saw them on tv or pics, w/o crystal clear skin? Well, apparently, society doesn't realize that that's not really the norm for hte women skins. But the society has made it norm so that women now think that something is wrong w/their skin if its not all in one shade of color! That gets teh excessive foundation and concealers. Rest of eyeshadows, lipcolors etc are to distract from the apparently ';uncommon'; uneven shades on the skin. At this point, hte makeup which was supposed to enhance our beauty, just manages to MASK our beauty and TRANSFORM (u have heard this word many times on tv for makeup commercials!) ur skin to ';perfect'; shade of color.

Well, for clothing, there are shopping websites you can find by googling ';modest clothes';. You can get almost everything modest from modest everyday wear to modest swimwear and evening wear. So, for instore ones, you just have to go w/the girl and make her wear it to find out if they are modest enough. More often than not, the clothes might seem modest on rack but if you wear it though, they might be a ';bit'; lower or higher than what you wanted. So trying them on in fitting rooms is the best way to judge their modesty. But before shopping though, I really suggest you make rules about the length from ur neck where the cut off point for the top to begin so we don't compromise on tops modest just because it seems to be modest but only a ';little'; bit lower than imagined. Same goes for skirts too. Modest clothing would be lot easier to find and buy if we make some hard rules about our bodies and the cut off points to not show cleavage or some leg.
As for makeup, any make up can be made to look modest or excessive--it just depends on the women how she wears it and what she considers as modest. Not to mention, the clothing we see in music videos, magazines, and Victoria Secret ads are very degrading (in my opinion at least). It's as if the body a woman has defines her beauty nowadays. I see girls at my school pushing the chests up as if their life depending on it, just so boys will ';notice them';. Shouldn't a man love someone for who they are and not their bra size? Today I was at Lowes. And I saw this woman, she looked like she was in her 40's. She had a nice modern haircut, short, nice. Her clothes were very classy and respectful (as you said) Nice makeup, nice bag, nice shoes, perfect for her age, and you would just love to look at her!

Use a cleanser, toner and moisturizer compatible with your skin type.
If you skin is oily, use a clay mask twice a week and an exfoliant scrub once a week. (Leave at least 1-2 days between each, eg. Monday/mask, Wednesday/scrub and Friday/mask.)
If you have normal-dry skin Scrub twice a week and exfoliate once a week.
Always use sunscreen.
Get a foundation to suit your skin type and colour, and the coverage you are wanting. Apply after moisturizer/sunscreen. Blot with a tissue. Apply eyeliner, lipliner. Correct mistakes. Then dust a face powder over to set makeup, remember your eyelids and neck.
Apply eyeshadow, and blush if desired, blend well. Use a makeup pad or cotton ball to even powder out on face and wipe of any excess.
Lastly apply Mascara and lipstick/gloss.
