I'm allergic to most kinds of make-up (even the high end brands). I don't care about wearing make-up every day, but it'd be nice to be able to get dressed up when i want to without inviting a nice rash onto my face. What's a good line of make-up available in Canada for extremely sensitive skin?
Try Neutrogena as it is formulated with gentle ingredients.
Bare Minerals is rumored to be ';invisible'; and ';weightless';.
Clinique is always gentle.
MAC is made in canada, its pretty gentle on my skin. I tried it on my little sisters skin and she's sensitive as well. No redness no itch.
You have to do a patch test. Take a swipe of the product and put it on the inside of your elbow joint. You may have different sensitivity on your face and in that area but if you do get a reaction there then it means that your face will have a reaction too. At least you didn't subject your skin to any harm. Also, try cleaning your makeup brushes. You could be using really good makeup but if your brushes are natty and dirty then you really will get a reaction. Soap them with gentle liquid soap, condition them and lay them out on a paper towel to dry.
Also, avoid skin oils from making contact to the product as it may alter the consistency. have you ever noticed darker raised lumps on the makeup(especially powdered products). Those are the oils clumping up. They breed bacteria as well. Remember to oil blot or blot with a tissue before retouching makeup. Use products that don't require brushes so that the product will not be contaminated with oil, bacteria, dead skin cells and dust. What's a good line of make-up available in Canada for extremely sensitive skin?
have you tried almay? that is a good brand for sensitive skin...as far as i can tell they don't use harsh chemicals or products in their make-up
Arbonne. It's all natural, cruelty free and tested on humans to assure the products are safe for human use.
I think it is called Bare Essentials? You can order it online, it is mineral made and shouldn't bother your skin.
clinique is sposed to be good...
Arbonne is a great choice for very sensitive types (like me, a fair-skinned redhead!). The products contain NO mineral oil (or petroleum products of any kind) NO animal products or by-products and no artificial dyes or fragrances.
Arbonne is available in Canada (the business is just starting to grow there).
I am available to help you with any information you might need regarding specific ingredients and so forth. Also, I can tell you how to get all your products at a 35% discount.
If you visit my site and email me, I can send you some free samples so you can find out if the products work for you before you spend your $$$.
well if you have very snesitive skin i suggest Physicians Formula. it is made for sensitive skin and for contact lens wearers. just make sure to look at the ingredients to see if anything there is something that you are allergic too. its a fair price but it is good. good luck!
ORGANIC ( not natural... for a company to put the label ';all natural'; on a product the FDA only requires the product to be 5% natural. so educate yourself about what you are using first. natural does not mean 100% natural, and natural is NOT organic. )
USE AVEDA it is ORGANIC
they have a line for sensitive skin care as well.
but seriously, TRY IT and thank me and Aveda later.
Aveda is worldwide. I moved to Italy, currently still live here, and they have Aveda here too!
If you dont have a store or salon near you, try online.
