How to stop cold turkey wearing foundation make up without looking strange, oily, or dirty?

i still want my skin to look fresh. i just hate the feel of foundation and have become so reliant on it.How to stop cold turkey wearing foundation make up without looking strange, oily, or dirty?
wash your face more often and try to less on each dayHow to stop cold turkey wearing foundation make up without looking strange, oily, or dirty?
First make sure you have a good skin care routine, then try switching to a bronzer or a tinted moisturizer for a few weeks. If you just quit straight off, you might find yourself wanting to use it as an excuse. Just gradually slip off of it. If you want to just quit, then take at least a week and use it only under your eyes while you get the rest of your skin all happy and fresh. (face wash, cleansers, masks, and toner, etc) then just quit. ^_^
try a clarifying powder, that stops shine an evens out skin tone.
cold turkey will continue looking strange, oily and dirty, whatever you do.
All the answers above will work, it just depends on what you're comfortable with. Myself, I just stopped wearing makeup on the days I don't have to go to work and got used to it that way. A gentle self-tanning lotion will probably work in your situation.
Wash face and follow with toner. Find a great powder (revelon colorstay or high definition by makeup forever) and dust over face with big fluffy brush. You can dot foundation on pimples or discolorations before powdering...
I would start using a Sunless Tanning Face Lotion like Olay Regenerist Touch of Sun UV Defense Regenerating Lotion with SPF 15. It's a great, non-greasy moisturizer for your face, and it gives you gradual color, so you look like you have a slight tan!
Try a tinted moisturizer instead, it will feel more like you just washed your face and put on some face lotion while still giving you some coverage.
Maybe instead of stopping altogether get a better foundation for your skin? Bare Minerals is amazing and I hardly ever break out anymore. But if you're really set on no makeup then try some oil absorbing pads you can get at any walmart, target, walgreens, etc.
Try wearing a packed mineral based powder instead of foundation.

It will absorb the oil and even out your complexion without being heavy. My favorite is the mineral foundation by MAC. It stays on all day and I don't even feel like I'm wearing anything.

Mineral based powders are great, because they are lighter than most packed powders and they make your skin healthier as you wear it.
