In the Ruy Lopez opening, what pieces move to where? Please explain using the numbered ranks and lettered files. Ex. Moving the king side white rook all the way up the board would take it from 1A to 8A and moving it from its starting space to the other side of the board takes it from 1A to 1H.In chess, what are the moves that make up the Ruy Lopez opening?
Sure.
Algebraic Notation has been the standard since the 70s. The white queen rook is a1 The black king rook is h8. Its like a battleship grid....
Anyways, the Ruy Lopez is named after a spanish priest who lived in the 1500s, Ruy L贸pez de Segura. He is considered an unoffical world champion and credited for using this opening. Ironically, we do have a history of three games he played, none of which or the Ruy Lopez. It is still very common in tournament play today.
The main theme is
1. e2-e4 e7-e5
2. Ng1-f3 Nb8-c6
3. Bf1-b5. ...
White makes an assult on the the queen knight, hoping to occupy the center further. Notice that both knights are attacking squares dr and e5. This could be an easy way to gain a pawn for white. Also If white takes the knight, black will normally take back with the pawn on d7. This creates doubled pawns, which typically are weak.
Black can do several things from this position. He can deveolp His Knight on g8 to f6, or even e7, Though it hems him in a bit. He can develop his Bishop. He can question the Bishop, 3... a6. White then has to either take or move it. Personally I like to play 3... Nc6 d4. It removes The pin, it attacks the Bishop, It prevents doubled pawns. However you'll have to trade of a knight you moved twice early on... Anyways. WIkipedia has some useful stuff on chess openings. I posted a link.
Oh... about the pawn on e5. It can be used as bait! Heres a quick game...
1. e2-e4 e7-e5
2. Ng1-f3 Nb8-c6
3. Bf1-b45 Bf8-c5
4. B x Nc6 d7 x Bc6
5. Nf3 x e5? Qd8-d4
White was too greedy, and now Black is threatening a mate and the knight at once. Not all pawns are free. Anyways, hope this explains. In chess, what are the moves that make up the Ruy Lopez opening?
Coffee gave you a very good answer.
Pawn to King 4. Then Black Pawn to King 4. Then White. King Knight to Bishop 3. Then Black Knight to Queen side Bishop 3. Then white's king side bishop to b5. That's it!

I have this http://www.sephora.com/browse/product.jh鈥?/a> and it is really nice because I have pale skin.
However, with what you are looking for, you could get that (what I have) and just go to sephora and look at the lipsticks, use that light pick, and then re-aplly the lid and lip primar.
It works very well.
try the JORDANA, LANCOME and AVON

When do you think parents should allow their daughters to wear make-up?
When (what age) do you think is a good time? When do you think parents should allow their daughters to wear make-up?
I think around Middle School, if the daughter wants to wear it, then it's ok. But not a lot. Maybe some mascara and some lip gloss......maybe just a tad bit of powder........I don't think any younger than that they should be wearing anything except lip gloss......and once they do start, teach them how to put a little on...not a lot......not to make it obvious that you have it on.......When do you think parents should allow their daughters to wear make-up?

I think when they enter high school, it doesn't matter when they're in junior high. Just don't put on too much make up, it really ruins your face, natural is the best way to go, maybe with a few sprucings. Report Abuse
when they know not to put so much on that they look like whorebags...maybe sophomore or junior in high school, if they're okay, maybe even freshman...but just not anytime before that
13?
I've seen them at Royalty Beauty Pageants as young as 3. Look at the world around you. Did you know that a few years ago Abercrombie and Fitch came out with kids thongs?
It is what ever age you feel comfortable letting them wear it. Look at JonBenet Ramsey and Brooke Shields in Pretty Baby. And if anyone gives you any lip about it (pardon the pun) let them read this.
Child beauty pageants are a multi million dollar industry, kids as young as 3 wear lipstick (as in LIPSTICK not lip gloss) eye shadow, etc.
my daughter can wear make-up when she can move out and vote.
Im 17 And I Dont Wear Makeup But On The Other Hand My Sisters 12 And I Hate That She Wears Make-up.. She Does It To ';Be Cool'; I Guess.. But I Think She Should Have Waited A Year Or So... So Maybe 13 Or 14
For me it will be at the age of 16...because you are starting you to be conscious of everything. At this age...crushes and admirers...and you want to feel cool...But frankly speaking..makeups sometimes will just make your face look matured...and i go for simple ones...
my mom worked for mary k , she told me how to use make-up , i usual don't wear allot and i only wear dark colors at night . I started wearing make up at the age 10 or 11 but it was only like lip stick (light color) and mascara . but for me i think around the age 13 would be OK but even then not real heavy .
I was allowed to do it at any age I want. However, I was educated by my mom about it.
You don't want to wear it in public when you're 7, but it's OK to experiment with it in front of the mirror, where noone will see you.
It is silly to wear too much or when noone else of your age is wearing it. You don't want to look like a baby clown.
I think good age is when you're transitioning to look like a young lady rather than a girl. It waries. Since this transitoin is slow and moderate, I'd say, transition from wearing no cosmetics at all to wearing makeup should be slow and moderate as well. Start wearing very little, develop full make up in a few years. This is the best way to develop taste.
Like I said, I was allowed to wear makeup at any age I wanted. I started wealing mascara and lip gloss at the age of 15, for special events. I experimented with stuff in front of the mirror since I was 6. I put watercolor on my face when I was 4. My mom had a good laugh out of it.
Depends, if your daughter has bad blemishes or acne, then concealer should probably be permitted at any age. Also, being naturally blonde, I had ';rabbit eyes'; and being very self conscious, it was hard not wearing mascara. With my daughter, I will help her with any blemishes or acne at any age, and in about 5th or 6th grade, I will let her wear clear mascara to define her eyelashes. I think junior high is fine for lip gloss and mascara, and by high school it's her choice within reason. More importantly is when your kids can wear low rise jeans and cleavage revealing shirts. Makeup is just the start!!!
i started at 6 years old i ware make-up some time but not ever day i ware make-up when im goin place.
not one single day before their 16, that goes for piercings too kids try to grow up to fast on thier own sometimes we as parents have to slow them down and later on they will say dad im glad you didnt let me .
When they go out and get a job to pay for it.
i started at 7
Hms, as a little girl I just started playing around with make-up but I offically started wearing make-up around the age of 15 because my doctors told me that wearing make up younger then that will increase wrinkles and deepen the lines as you aged. Sooo...huh, this is just me but I would rather have a daughter beautiful and natural then with deep *** wrinkles.
I have three sons, but have always wanted a little girl...but I will be honest with you I think a young woman ought to know how to apply makeup...and having said that I think that each young woman is different, there cannot be a set age. I have seen some as young as 10 wear it and wear it well...while I have seen 16 and 17 year olds that look like tramps. Education is probably the key to learning the correct age...when a young woman learns how to apply it is one thing, but the thing to know is how much...
I personally would allow a daughter of my own to try it when I thought she was ready. Every child is different...
Good luck...
i started at like 3 but only wore make up to school and stuff when i was like in 7th grade
10 my sister is 10 and she loves guys and wants make up so bad so i gave it to her and she is hot

I appear to be allergic to eye make up. Can anyone recommend a brand that will not affect my eyes please?
I would like a brand that offers some good colours that won't make my eyes sore.I appear to be allergic to eye make up. Can anyone recommend a brand that will not affect my eyes please?
use any good brand.use powder eyeliner but dip brush in water first, squeeze of excess then dab onto powder and gently apply, dont rub in.when removing it use egoderm cream and a makeup bud to remove.this cream is fantastic,it is especially for reactive skin, dont use it all around your eyes just to remove the eyeliner.I used to get red rimmed, itchy eyes from makeup.now i dont.If its not the skin that is reacting but your eyes go red and watery, then before you put makeup on put in some antihystamine eye drops.then when you remove the makeup put them in again.cheersI appear to be allergic to eye make up. Can anyone recommend a brand that will not affect my eyes please?
Any hypoallergenic range should work.
There are lots on this google search page.

Are you actually allergic or did you just get some makeup in your eye? How old is the mascara you used (old mascara can cause irritation)?
What brands have you tried?
I'd sugget going with mineral eyeshadow, personally, as it's gentler than the conventional stuff.
Try something that is marked hypoallergenic - but be careful.
any brand that says hypoallergenic on it check out your local chemist for brands that have that sign on them
Have you tried the Body Shop? you could ask the staff there for advice, or Boots try their make up counters. There must be something you could try ion one of those shops.
If you appear to be allergic to eye make up no brand would cure that or be okay for your eyes.
buy very cheap make-up or maxfactor
try clinque.

What kind of make-up can I wear to hide my dark under-eye circles until I get them to fade, anyway how can I ?
do that? I'm talking foundations and stuff unless theres some sort of cream that will get rid of them that is a good price. Please make it available in Australia, I'm sorta new to this internet purchasing thing. :D What kind of make-up can I wear to hide my dark under-eye circles until I get them to fade, anyway how can I ?
There is a company called Benefit based out of San Francisco that makes an eye cream called Eyecon. It's worked wonders for me! Another of their products that works really well for me is called Erase Paste, it's a concealer for under your eyes that you can put on under or over your foundation. It's a little pricey but I would definitely recommend it for under eye problems! What kind of make-up can I wear to hide my dark under-eye circles until I get them to fade, anyway how can I ?
I hate under-eye circles mine are so dark.
All i do is put on my foundation as normal then put concealer under my eyes, it works for me. Im not sure if there is a product to actually remove the darkness under your eyes, maybe just try getting more sleep, drinking more water etc.phone

How to I stop my make up from clumping up in the crease of my eye lid?
Heyy! Is there some way that I can keep my eye shadow from all going to the crease in my eye lid? Or are there some different eye shadows to try that don't do that?? Not too expensive of a brand...just like something I can get at Wal-Mart? :)
Thanks soo much if ya answer! :DHow to I stop my make up from clumping up in the crease of my eye lid?
You're gonna need a primer, sunshine. I recommend MACs, or the one from COASTALSCENTS.COM.You can also try the loreal HIP paints. They provide a great sticky base to make your shadow stick. Try that!!How to I stop my make up from clumping up in the crease of my eye lid?
Try using a primer or oil-blotting sheets throughout the day. Lancome has a primer thats SUPER expensive but works. Or you could just use a good transfer-proof foundation before you apply. All eyeshadows will do that if you have oily skin and/or eyes with no crease. I actually have both and my transfer proof makeup works fine
Urban Decays Eyeshadow primer is the BEST. I am a skin care specialist and I understand you want to get something at walmart but it's inexpensive for the brand name.

It's not the product, it's what you apply it with. Invest in a decent eyeshadow brush and it should gather a better amount f product and only go into selective areas.
Wow there;s still people that dont know what an eyeshadow PRIMER IS????? WOOOOOOOOW and dude your not going to find anything thats going to hold your e/s from Walmart nor Target you need

Is there any make up tips for pale, circular faces?
I can not seem to find the right makeup for my skin tone!Is there any make up tips for pale, circular faces?
I would suggest going to a make-up counter, or visiting a make-up artist and asking him/her for tips and advice as to what products to buy and how to use it. It'll help wonders. However, if you can't do this, simply do your make-up as you normally would, then take a light bronzer, and using a large blusher brush, apply the bronzer along your hair line, your cheek bones, and your jawline, plus anywhere else the sun would naturally hit you. This is a quick remedy for the paleness (which I would actually embrace, porcelain skin is beautiful), and it will give you the illusion of more sculpted bone-structure by really defining your cheek bones and jaw line. Just remember to blend so your make-up looks more natural, and not clown-like or painted on. Good luck!Is there any make up tips for pale, circular faces?
Go to the department store and have the saleslady help you match a foundation to your skin tone. Try an asian brand like Shisheido. They make lighter colored foundations
I have a pale, round face.. And I always always go with Covergirl they have such great makeup. Go with their palest color in liquid, and then use a powder with a blush brush over. I would also say get a really nice pink blush too. But be careful.. It will look way to pink if you use too much because of your skintone. And I like to go with pink and light copper eyeshadow colors. Try MAC for eyeshadow.

Since we moved to Europe, I've been so much into make-up. I would just like to know if there are any legit websites that send you free cosmetics samples??? :) Thank You!What are some websites that you can get free samples of make-up products?

Best way to apply green wicked witch make up?
I have two types...the grease makeup and a cream that's supposed to have a powder soft finish...and I plan on using both, but I've heard that if you sort of mix it in with foundation it stays on better...any hints or tips?Best way to apply green wicked witch make up?
Grease makeup is typically a pain - it lasts long, but it's hard to get on, and hard to get off.
Depending on the quality of the cream, you might not need anything else. I've done a bit of costuming, and typically all we needed was to grab some makeup sponges and start painting. It'll smear a bit if you sweat a lot of rub at it, but otherwise, not too bad. The foundation might help it out a bit - I'd try mixing a small amount of the two on a piece of cardboard or something and compare to see how it goes.
And, a hint for cleanup - if you rub some cold cream on the makeup when you're ready to take it off, it comes off a lot easier. Baby wipes are pretty handy too. Depending on how long you've had the stuff on, though, you'll probably want to put on some of the cold cream after you're done, just to be nice to your skin.Best way to apply green wicked witch make up?
Never heard of mixing it with foundation. But you could do a small test patch. Apply it with a large makeup sponge.
You should just use the cream. If you use both of them it will stay on better.... for 3 whole days. I did that once and I to OK about 8 showers before it came off. Cream would be the best solution. p.s. if you want to touch up though it is OK to use a little bit of mixed concoction .
The grease makeup should have a darker color to it when applied, so I'd put that down first. Then do a coat of the cream and use more of it for shadowing. In the movie, there isn't much variation in the color of her face, but you can make yourself scarier by adding some darker makeup around the eyes and just under the cheek bones.
I have no clue. GOod luck but if u have AOL instant message than add the robot SmarterChild StudyBuddy or AskNetrogeana.
put it in the toilet and flush first, It will do more good that way.
don't ';mix'; them litterally - apply them sequentially (one at a time), grease first, then powder. It'll be a bit uncomfortable but it won't go anywhere. You'll have to work very hard at keeping it even though.

What are some websites that you can get free samples of make-up products?
Since we moved to Europe, I've been so much into make-up. I would just like to know if there are any legit websites that send you free cosmetics samples??? :) Thank You!What are some websites that you can get free samples of make-up products?
I wouldn't use online stores cos they are a bit risky!! I would go to your local department store, they always have lots of free samples for cosmetics, especially perfume. Hope this helps :)What are some websites that you can get free samples of make-up products?

Do makeup brushes really affect how your make-up comes out?
Most of the makeup i buy already comes with an applicator. Can't i still get a decent look using the applicators? How much does the applicator i use affect my makeup dramatically? Cause I also noticed when i am watching ';how to apply makeup videos'; on the brands website the artist themselves don't even use the same applicators. Soooooo...does it really matter?Do makeup brushes really affect how your make-up comes out?
i mean for everyday use it's fine not to use every single brush such as a lip brush, contour brush, foundation brush, eyeliner brush etc.
i think a blush brush, and a blending brush[to blend eyeshadow] are the most important in my opinion!
if you don't wear eyeshadow that much then don't bother with the blending brushDo makeup brushes really affect how your make-up comes out?
YES for sure MAC is a really great brand to get makeup brushes from but they are expensive my favorite MAC alternative is Sigma brushes they are high quality and not to expensive i think a set of twelve is like $65 but that's a good deal considering some singular MAC brushes cost that.
I know exactly what u mean. I still feel the same way. I hate it when makeup comes with an eyehshadow applicator and when you watch a makeup video the makeup artist themselves doen't even use the same brushes that comes with the applicator. To be honest the makeup aplicator you use does affect the way your mkaeup comes out.
Yes, especially with the blush brushes that sometimes come with blush. Using a big fluffy brush will make it look more natural and not as streaky.
Duh.
I think brushes work best on everything for make up. It gives a flawless look. Hope this helps.

What are the 3 main cultures that make up Mexico?
%26amp; the characteristics of the four regions of Mexico.
Whats NAFTA and how does it affect Mexico. What are the 3 main cultures that make up Mexico?
OK... way too much information for this little space. What, you want us to write your report for you? So here's just a little to get you started...
Cultures - indigenous, European, and mestizo - the combination of indigenous and European.
Four regions - not sure what is meant by the four regions, I'm guessing you could say the north, central Mexico, the tropical coastal regions and the south. Or, it could be the north, central Mexico, southwestern Mexico (the Pacific coast and southern Mexico) and the Yucatan Peninsula. The north is arid, mainly desert. Central is quite ideal for ranching and farming - good water supplies, plains and mountains. The coastal west is mountainous and tropical. Yucatan Peninsula is tropical and largely flat. The south is mountainous and lushly vegetated - good for growing coffee.
The North American Free Trade Agreement was signed by Mexico, the U.S. and Canada. It's allowed Mexico to export more goods to its northern neighbors without having those goods taxed, but it's also allowed goods to come into Mexico and compete against local items such as corn.

What kind of make up should I do for Prom?
my dress that im wearing is tuqoise and gold it has silver beads all over it.What kind of make up should I do for Prom?
try a smoky eye with pink blush, some bronzer, and a champagne colored lip. What kind of make up should I do for Prom?
Usually you don't want your makeup to be louder than your dress; it should complement the dress so you don't look like a streetwalker.
Since your dress is turquoise and gold and silver, I would say that the best makeup should be light, since turquoise is a bold color. I would suggest to do your makeup in light turquoise or stick with the neutral tones that complement the colors, like browns and bronzes.
here's my suggestion,
-put light cover up on
-apply fake lashes if you desire the look of long, thick lashes
-put on a liquid silver eyeshadow, and if you don't think it looks quite right, put a turqoise-ish colored eyeshadow right over, because from experience the powder over the liquid silver look fantastic:]
-light line of liquid eyeliner on the top lid just above the lash line
-small line of black eyeliner below the eye, just above the lash line
-2 coats of mascara
if that doesn't look good...im not sure what will
good luck at prom:)

I think you should do maybe a gold color for your eyes.
Or start with a gold foundation on your eyes, and cover that with a turquoise color all along the crease of your eye. Add some black along the edges.
Put on concealer and cover up to even out your skin tone, as well as blush.

I have harvest blonde hair, blue/ gray eyes and an ivory skin tone with plenty of freckles. And my eyes are very dark looking. So...what colors would look best on me? Would eye liner be too dark since my eyes are already dark? What kind of make-up would look best for my skin tone, hair color, etc.?
light blue and pink. for eyeshadow i would say brown :] ...eyeliner would be fine even if your eyes are already dark...it will make them POP out.

What type of make up tips would you give me?
http://i290.photobucket.com/albums/ll272/g_tellez_52/DSC01495_2-2.jpg
I am obviously not the kind of girl that wears make-up, i basically go to school the way i wake up of course i brush my hair and stuff... but right now i'm desperate and looking for some tips..
Oh and dont worry im already changing my hairstyle..What type of make up tips would you give me?
wear a little eyes shadow, mascara, lip gloss. dont start wearing foundation because it will ruin your skin by giving you spots and rinkles.
good luck :DWhat type of make up tips would you give me?
go to almay.com and choose the correct colors for your skin, eyes, and lip type, print off your list and head off to walmart [:
you don't need foundation and eye liner but if you want to use it, start with little makeup first andwork your way up so you're more comfortable with what you look like with the makeup
bangs and curl your hair :].
right wellllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllll鈥?br>
foundation - i use dream matte mousse but theres a new airbrushed one - i cant remember which brand it was but its in cosmo. get a shade equal to or one lighter than your natural skintone.
concealer - dream matte mousse do good ones. dab them under your eyes before you apply foundation.
eyeliner,
eyeshadow,
and just reg. make up like foundation %26amp; powder.
Go to sephora, %26amp; ask them .
your pretty and dont need heavy stuff.
To be honest id just use mascara and eyeliner , thats what i use everyday and i think its just enough . Maybe a little dark pink blusher if you want colour in your cheeks.
Kohl black pencil eyeliner would look great and enhance your eyes. Maybe some blush to give your cheeks more colour! xphone

What is the right age to wear make-up?
rofl i was watching Keeping Up With the Kardashians (nothing good is on), and the youngest girl whose like 11 is wearing make-up. my mom flipped out when i said that i wanted to wear make-up when i was 11, and the dad on the kardashians is flipping out too. so is my mom being overrated or is she rite? i think she's rite, but im just curious of other people's opinionWhat is the right age to wear make-up?
In my school all the girls started to wear makeup in 6th grade(Jr.High)
the school allowed it and they expect to not over do it...I wear a little eye liner and mascara and a rose colored lip gloss. that is what we were...i think 11 and 12 is when you should start to wear lip gloss then
when you get older and eyeliner will be next...just don't put so much on that you look like a racoon, a thin line will be okay..then a little bit of mascara and whala!!! your parens should allow you to wear lip gloss and maybe blush at 11 and 12What is the right age to wear make-up?
You're too young if you don't know what overrated means.
Bruce Jenner is absolutely correct to be disturbed by the thought of his youngest daughter wearing makeup at only age 11. That's entirely too young! At that age, she's headed down a path of lifelong dependence on makeup. How many boys like girls who wear makeup? Some guys get complacent and just accept it but other men prefer a woman who is happy in her own skin (and won't leave that skin on the pillowcases every morning).
Instead of caring about the superficial, why not try to do so well in school that you get into your top choice colleges early decision or early action? That's truly sexier than the right eyeliner or foundation.
there is no right and wrong age to wear makeup
it depends what you want to accomplish with it
I started wearing makeup in 6th grade and i still only wear mascara and eyeshadow it doesn't really matter don't start wearing makeup until you feel ready to use it
i think that a little bit of eyeliner and mascara is good for practice in 8th grade. thats when i started wearing make-up.
11 is not a good age to start.
more like 13.
well i was allowed to wear mascara %26amp; eyeshadow at 12;and at 13 i was allowed to wear everything.
so i think around 12%26amp;13 is a good age.
idk cause if you put on make-up in middle school or at least my middle school they would think you where weird. I'd say at least around your second year in high school. nobody i know really wears it before then.
i wear makeup OCCASIONALLY
Started at 12, once again I put it on RARELY
Don't wear it a lot or all the time because it will ruin your skin and you will look like an old lady
i think probably age 12 is good
i think 11 and 12 are good.

Whats NAFTA and how does it affect Mexico. What are the 3 main cultures that make up Mexico?
OK... way too much information for this little space. What, you want us to write your report for you? So here's just a little to get you started...

How does dermacia make up work on acne skin?
My skin tends to breakout and the only makeup that has wokred on my skin and made it look flawless was Dinair Airbrush Makeup. It covers everything immensely well. i LOVE it!!! you should go to google and type in Dinair and you'll find their siteHow does dermacia make up work on acne skin?
Hey! So a month ago now I started using this night cream called 'Duac once daily' , I got it from my doctor and I am not kidding when i say its a miracle. I had awful acne, and now my skin is flawless, I don't even need to worry about what makeup i am using. How does dermacia make up work on acne skin?
Always spend a little more on the make you apply direct to your skin so foundation or powder. Maybe go along to one of your local department stores and talk to someone about the best range to use.

GIRLS ONLY: How old were you girls when you started wearing make up?
I am 12, and I want to start wearing make up. I don't want to ';come one too strong'; by wearing it at this age. So how old were you when you began wearing it??
Thanks for all your help!GIRLS ONLY: How old were you girls when you started wearing make up?
I'm a month away from 15, and I literally just learned how to put on eyeshadow, eye liner, and other basic make-up stuff today. I think it's ridiculous to wear anything besides lipgloss and maybe mascara at your age. Definitely no eyeliner and eyeshadow. It just does come on too strong and makes you look trashy when you're that young. Plus, I'm sure you're pretty enough as it is, without all that goop on your face.GIRLS ONLY: How old were you girls when you started wearing make up?
in between 6th and 7th grade, i started trying light light eyeliner, and I liked how i looked, so that's all I used [except lip gloss] up until 8th grade where I tried eyeshadow and stuff.
i'm 14 and i don't wear any foundation or concealer or any face powder. daily i use light black eyeliner on top and light waterline on bottom that's all
Just this year (14). You really shouldn't wear a lot at your age. At most you could wear lipgloss and maybe some light eyeshadow. Don't do mascara or eyeliner, or you might look like a hoochie.
My makeup is a lot more extreme, but that's by personal choice. I wear black liquid and pencil liner and sometimes black shadow. Again, that's by personal choice.
:]
I was 13 when I started wearing makeup. I started with a little bit at a time. First gloss then mascara then eyeliner and then shadow. I'm 18 now and I still don't wear full makeup (face blush contour highlight blah blah blah)
As long as you keep it natural and not go overboard then you should be fine
i think i was 15/16 or so! there really isn't any need to wear makeup so young! You don't want to clog your pores and possibly start breaking out. personally a nice moisturizer...tinted if you wish, and cute lip gloss is all you need!! -- you have plenty of time to experiment with make up!
Well I'm 14 and i really really want to wear make up but till im like 15 which is in a few months...but my friend started wearing it in 4th grade which personally i think was 2 early but i think its fine for u to wear make up if its light and not 2 heavy
ok well i did it in stages...
7th grade- just eyeliner
8th grade-little powder, eyeliner,blush,mascara,and eyeshadow
and ever since then i have used everything else
i was 12 %26amp; i started wearing like eye liner %26amp; mascara
then when i was 13 i started wearing foundation
xo
I tried it when I was 14, but I really began at age 15 going on 16. You are bit young to be wearing make up and I am sure you look fine the way you are though.
i was like 10 i just started with a little eye liner and sometimes eye shadow the started adding more
i started wearing make-up in grade 7. but i only wore a little mascara i didn't want to over do it
i wassss 12
if you want to start wearing make-up, start out with little by little.
i would start out with some nice lipgloss and mascara if i were you.
good luckk!
:)
i was 14(started using occasionally) and 15(everyday basis)
8th grade
it sucked i always snuck and wore it than washed it off before my mom seen
I was 14. And at 12 you should only wear lipgloss, mascara and some (light) eyeshadow.
Answer mine?
It's below yours.
I was 11 or 12 when I started wearing make up.
13 i think
8
i am 13 but i think you should wait until you are 18 so you don't be having wrinkles and stuff
i started wearing it in 8th grade so like at 13. at your age, eyeliner and mascara would be perfect (=
13 years old:D I think it's ok if u wear make up
i was 12.
i was 12, but now im 15 and i still dont wear that much =]
i was 13 when i started but only with light and at 15 i wore more of it
13 and it sucked i waited FOREVER to get make up lol

How much does a Mac make-up artist make working at Macy's?
I was wondering how much they made... for Macy's
or even working at Bloomingdales or Nordstroms?
*** if i can get a good estimate from someone with experience it would be greatly appriciated!
Thanks How much does a Mac make-up artist make working at Macy's?
I work at a Clinique counter in Macy's in Oregon and make about $9 per hour. I think all the makeup girls make the same. Sometimes you get tips (but very rarely!) from people who are especially happy with what you've done. Overall, it's a really fun job! :)How much does a Mac make-up artist make working at Macy's?
Usually at MAC they make between 10-20$.
Most of them range in the 15$ area.
You're not allowed to accept tips, unless you sneak, but you could lose your job. :(

Can you still be a vegan if you use non-vegan make up?
I've been a vegetarian for about a year and a half. And I'm thinking about becoming vegan. But it's not really for the animals, its for health reasons and such.
Even if everthing i consume is vegan, could i still use non-vegan things like make up,hair products etc?and still be vegan? Can you still be a vegan if you use non-vegan make up?
You will be a strict vegetarian, but not a vegan. Can you still be a vegan if you use non-vegan make up?
you wouldn't be the vegan label, or if you called it that you'd be hypocritical, but you can't restrict yourself that much and be happy/healthy most times anyway. you said it's for health reasons, but people who don't eat meat or animal products, unless they do everything exactly as they should in order to be healthy, are usually not healthy.
i'm a vegetarian and most of the meat substitutes i have get their protein from dairy products, and if they don't they burn a hole in my wallet. it's much more reasonable though i believe, for both my happiness and health, but i am still making a difference.
be wise about what you do, limit yourself as much as you can, but when you can't relax, you're only human.
You could say you EAT a vegan diet....but why not go all out and do the makeup and hair care products...they are better for you're body (im not even vegan and i use those products!) They are much less irritating) Health reasons are just as good a reason as any to use these products as well (check out the links between regular deodorant that contains aluminum and breast cancer...ick! no thank you from this breast feeding mama!) and a vegan diet can be just as healthy and fulfilling as any other if followed properly...dont let anyone tell you that you are going to die or get sick if you follow a vegan diet, I have spent time doing a vegan diet with VERY healthy results...just make sure you get all you need between food and vitamin supplements any lifestyle or diet can be unhealthy, it just depends on how you follow it
I would say you would be considered a dietary vegan - not an ethical vegan. However, if you are able be be vegan in diet you really wouldn't have that much trouble using cruelty-free products. There are vegan cosmetics and other beauty products as well as household cleaners that are readily available. Besides being vegan these products are often more natural and better for the environment.
If you eat a vegan diet, but aren't vegan in other aspects of your life, you are referred to as a ';strict,'; ';total,'; or ';pure'; vegetarian. Veganism implies a moral concern for animals, so it's not really a label you want if that doesn't factor into your decision anyway.
you are still considered to be eating a vegan diet just not living a vegan life style. Because its for health reasons its not really hypocritical so really there is nothing wrong with using non-vegan products.
No.
You can still prestigeously be claimed as vegetarian.
There are not any ';Official Rules'; for being vegan. You can call yourself what ever you want.
No, you're vegetarian.
Why would you want to call yourself vegan if you don't really care about animals? That's pretty much the whole point.
I don't think so.
being vegan isn't really that healthy... most of the vegans i know are way too skinny and kind of sickly... the body needs protein. and to be a true vegan then no, you can't use those things.

What brand of make-up works great on combination sensitive skin?
I've tried covergirl but it seemed to break me out. But, i haven't tried M.A.C. yet, it seems to have a good line but im not sure how it would work. Oh and neutrogena doesn't have shades for warm brown skin tones. What brand of make-up works great on combination sensitive skin?
No, don't use MAC foundation! It'll break you out as well. I do use MAC but only the base, eyeshadows, eyeliners, lipstick, but NEVER use the foundation and/or powder... don't know what they have in there but stay away from them! Plus I personally think they make you look too chalky...
Try NARS products (They have NARS in Nordstroms now, and Barney's, and Sephora!). They have good color selections as well. What brand of make-up works great on combination sensitive skin?
Lancomb works best for my combination skin
Mary Kay is wonderful. My whole family uses it and we've never had problems. Same with my friends! And they aren't terribly expensive and have a wide variety of stuff!
mary kay is good
Bare Escentials, and it is actually good for your skin too!
The BEST makeup (foundation) for combination for sensitive skin is Mineral Makeup like ID Bare Minerals Foundation. It doesn't contain any chemicals as its made from pure crushed minerals.
Its great for people who also have acne or sensitive skin as it doesnt contain any ingredients that irritate the skin. It gives a natural finish and its not heavy and uncomfortable.

Bear Minerals.
its a GREAT powder that actully stays on your skin!
i use it all the time
i use to have a lot of severe break out problems, and i started using clinque base, it is great.
Fashion Fair...its made especially for women of color not just necessarily african american women or like you said try M.A.C. cause i heard that they do have good line of products as well
If you have sensitive skin, you need products that are hypoallergenic, fragrance free and without a lot of chemicals. The best foundation textures for you are a liquid (water based), mousse, tinted moisturizer and dual finish. Satin or Luminous foundations usually work well on any skin type. As far as brands, I suggest Almay as they seem to target those with sensitive skin.
Look into Physician Formulas' oil free foundations, like Virtual Skin. They are awesome.
Mary Kay, but make sure you choose a foundation that's suited to your skin type, otherwise it won't work as well.
Almay

i dont know which make up but make sure u watch your face really good at night and put acne medication.

i use prescriptives. theyre great for matching skin tones... i'm paler than a ghost and they have powders/foundations that look good on me... so i am sure that they will have some that will look good for your skin tone.
Try Almay or something like that. I think it might work for you.

I have sensitive /oily skin and I love Elizabeth Arden. There is even a mousse foundation that is very light but has good coverage. I am an african american and I have no problem finding my shades. Also I love that it is not as pricey as Lancome or Estee Lauder.

How would you make up a 2M solution for sucrose (342g)?
I don't understand why you would multiply 342g by 2M. Why wouldnt u divide 342g by 2M to find the liters? How would you make up a 2M solution for sucrose (342g)?
I'd dissolve 68.4 g of sucrose in 100 mL of water.
You must choose your volume. The math is then
(X L) x (2 mol/L) x (342 g/mol) = 684 x X grams
See how the units cancel? Dissolve that much in X L to get a 2 M solution. How would you make up a 2M solution for sucrose (342g)?
342 g is the molar mass of sucrose. That is it is equal to 1 mole
To make 2M soln, you must dissolve 1 mol in 0.5 l or 2 mol in 1 l.

What would be the main make-up of a Lab write-up?
I am trying to write this supposed ';Lab Evaluation';, but that's sort of hard to do when the teacher doesn't tell you what you're supposed to put into it. I know the basics, such as materials, procedure, and results, but is there anything else that I would need to make this somewhat decent? This is only tenth grade biology, but I would still like to get a good grade on this. What would be the main make-up of a Lab write-up?
Introduction - A brief discussion of what you are doing in the lab and why. Talk a little about the theory behind the experiment. Try to identify an hypothesis or question.
Methods - materials and procedures. It should be written so that the reader can exactly duplicate your experiment.
Results - the exact findings of your experiment. Use graphics, graphs and/or tables to help the reader understand your findings. Each figure or table should have a caption explaining what it is showing. This stuff should still be in your text and the text should refer to the figure.
Discussion - What do the results mean? Why do you think you got these results? What factors other than those you were testing may have influenced the results (confounding factors)? What further questions come to mind in light of these results (further research)?
If you include all this in a tenth grade lab report, you will be sure to score an A. And trust me, you'll be way ahead of most college sophomore science majors.

How many syllables make up a Haiku?
How many syllables make up a Haiku? How many syllables make up a Haiku?
Oh yeargghh erm it's 17, 17 !How many syllables make up a Haiku?
In Japanese haiku have seventeen onji, or syllables, in groups of five, seven and five. The onji are less varied than our syllables (';Hello'; is two, but takes less time to say than ';thrust';, ';whinge'; or ';mourn';), though there is experimental evidence to show that the seven-syllable lines are said a little quicker and are exactly equivalent in time-value to the five syllable lines. All three lines are therefore, in one sense, of equal length, though the middle one is of greater density.
The line-lengths of five and seven onji are deeply rooted rhythmic units in Japanese, and have the highly memorable qualities of an English rhymed couplet. Slogans, advertising headlines, proverbs, witty sayings and all forms of traditional poetry are composed in these rhythmic units.
Translators have adopted different policies when searching for an English equivalent: some tried using rhyme (this did not catch on and is now a dead-end); some used a fuller four-line form which looked more like a native English quatrain, notably Noboyuki Yuasa who translated the Penguin Classics version of Basho's The Narrow Road to the Deep North (this did not catch on either). There are two styles which have survived: a small group of translators and writers reproduce the Japanese syllabic pattern exactly in English; and a much larger group keep the translations as minimal as possible, on the grounds that the striking features of haiku are shortness and spareness.
Two syllables, sometimes one, in a Japanese haiku are often spent on a kireji, or ';cutting word,'; rendered in English by a punctuation mark. Fifteen or sixteen syllables remain. Some Japanese words may be shorter than ours, but on the whole they will be slightly less dense and the information in seventeen syllables can be translated in eight to twelve syllables, so there is a case for keeping English language haiku a little shorter than Japanese ones
It's 5 in the first line, 7 in the second, 5 in the third. 17 in total.
Seems pretty easy, but in Japanese it's a lot more limiting and a challenge because very few words exist of two of fewer syllables- not many people can write good ones!
5 7 5 i think

Geting pimples every day Should I use make up remover?
Hello!
I have been noticing i have been geting pimples every day. Like i see new one pop up in morning.. for atleast past 3 or 4 days.. I usually put foundation little bit under eyes and eye liner..-- To clear my face in morning I just started using Acne wash by nutrogena few days ago and den I put Nivea creme onf ace. and den at night I wash my face with water.
I first thought it could be my nivea creme.. So i didnt apply that yesterday. But even today I got one more pimple.. Do you think its because of not using make up remover? Is it that important to use make up remover or some cleaner to not get pimples? I never really used make up remover before... Or you think washing your face with water should be good enough?
Your answers will be appreciated.Geting pimples every day Should I use make up remover?
I would recommend using make-up remover because it guarantees your face will be free of make-up and will gently remove it. The smallest amount of make-up left on your face may catalyze pimples. Chances are that by just washing your face off at night with water, oils are still settling on your face.
Another recommendation I have is to use wet wipes. They're simple, quick, and convenient. Try the brand Cottonelle. They'll easily remove make-up and will wash your face well. I use a wipe or two every night before bed and my face is clear. Strangely enough, they've cleaned my face better than any face soap/product I've used.
Good luck!Geting pimples every day Should I use make up remover?
ok wash ur face twice a day.
use the proper one... if ur face is oily then get the one for oily skins...
after washing, apply toner with cotton around your face... let it settle...
then apply moisturizer. if ur skin is oily type, apply less and vice versa.
it's good to use make-up remover but dont forget to cleanse your face after.
also, use pimple cream or tea tree oil...
Well, for a start hold off on your make up for a while. Wash your face like all the time. After lunch, when you wake up, when you go to sleep. The pimples will clear up soon but after you see clearer skin don't immediately put on a ton of makeup again, slowly go back into your makeup routine. If the pimples come back up again, start over again. Just go slower into the makeup next time. You can do this all the time just make sure to always wash your face with soap and water. Then you can use whatever you use for acne. Do this because the acne remover is really strong and can cause it if your skin is too dirty to begin with.
Good Luck! =D
Try to avoid eating oily foods. Eat steam vegetables
You should totally take your make up off! It helps. But, sometimes, nothing really helps pimples, and you just kinda have to wait. Most people do go threw a acne stage. And you are probably. I would keep washing my face with acne face wash in the morning and at night, it may seem like a lot of work, but if it helps it will be worth it!
umm....
usually when u don't get all the make up off u get a pimple or two
happened to me one time
when i forgot to wash the make up off after the concert
soo.... i suggest u do use make up remover
try lime juice fresh buy at store 8or10 thanuse oneonpempletry smalla mounts leave on for20 min wash with cold water dry try 3 time a day
Use a facial steamer, it works really well, set it on hot for 15 min, then cold. I tried it the other day, and now my face is back to normal. If you do hot, it hurts a bit because the steam is hot, but its actually opening up your blocked pores, and then cold makes your face fell good. If it doesn't work the first time, do it a couple more times. You notice how your face feels really greasy afterwards, that's the stuff in your blocked pores. Pat your face dry with a clean towel, if you scrub, it irritates your face.
Good luck!
You should wash your face at night and that should get rid of makeup. You might need to wash twice. I have acne also and this is what I do. (I have combo/oily skin)
Aloe vera gel mixed with 2 drops of tea tree essential oil works really well and has been shown in studies to improve acne. Doing scrubs is not good for acne at all because it irritates acne so I use warm oatmeal with a little bit of honey to exfoliate which is more gently. A french ';green'; clay mask works very well also when used 2 or 3x a week. It removes impurities from deep within and your acne may get worse before it gets better when using it. You should try an organic cleanser. (You can get them at a health food store.) I use Aubrey Organics cleanser for combo/oily skin. I also use a herbal astringent recipe from ';The herbal body book'; by Stephanie Tourles which you can get cheap on half.com. Works really good and is so soothing. Organic green tea (which you can get at giant eagle) is also a great toner/during the day splash, keeps the oil away and is really good for your skin. I also use a oil free moisturizer at night on my face I apply it on my face, neck and chest. Taking vitamins A, E, D, C, B5 (shown is studies to improve acne) vitamin %26amp; Zinc. Also eat healthy lean meats, fresh fruits and vegetables. Boxed foods and fast food will make it so much worse!
If you don't have my skin type that's ok because this will not dry out your skin it will nourish and bring balance.
Hope this helps!!!
aw this use to happen to me, well i wash my face ever night, with warm water, but i kind of have to use like cold cream of some sort of makeup remover or all my makeup when i finish washing my face with just the warm water is all over my face. ha ha so i would start using some sort of makeup remover, and then i just use a breakout prevention face wash and once a week i use this mask thing i have. So yeah, my face is nice and clear now i don't know if this helped but that's what i do!%26lt;3phone

but to answer your question, a must have is the mascara, the mascara simply completes any make up, or could be your only makeup on. it opens one's eyes, highlighting the eye, knowing that the eyes are what gives life to your expressions.

What kind of make-up should I wear in Mexico?
What colors would look nice? Any other suggestions? What kind of make-up should I wear in Mexico?
Well just keep it to a minimum - you'll want to catch a tan and have that to show off. Wear some bronzer and golden toned eye shadows and nude lips and you'll highlight your tan. What kind of make-up should I wear in Mexico?
none go natural and if you do just put on a little bit of mascara.
red salsa
bronze and bright colors
Blue and alot.
JUST WEAR WHAT YOU WEAR IN YOUR COUNTRY. BE NORMAL.
Why change it just 'cause you're going to Mexico?? The same style you wear here is fine over there. Just be yourself, don't change it to be something you're not.
None. It's so hot you'll sweat and it will run, leaving you looking like a watercolor painting.
How about a tinted moisturizer, some waterproof mascara and a little lip gloss? Be saucy and go with a deep berry or red on the lips.
ummmm...mexican make-up?
AHAHA!
****.
Light blush, pink lipstick... oh wait a minute... you said Mexico!!! Fermented agave juice and l谩piz labial rosado!

haha. Well go natrual colors. I visit Michoacan, Mexico allll time and if you wear very bold colors you'll stik out {not in a good way}

What Do You Use To Keep Your Make-Up Organised?
I don't know about anyone else, but I have a terrible habit of leaving my brushes, palettes and compacts all over the place - especially after the morning rush of waking up and getting to work. I'm thinking of investing in a piece of equipment to keep my make-up organised, tidy and easy to find. Can anyone recommend a good piece of kit? What Do You Use To Keep Your Make-Up Organised?
I use those plastic trays from the grocery store for the makeup in 3 sizes: 1 large for makeups %26amp; powders, 2 small for eyeshadows and lipsticks.
I put all my brushes and pencils end up in a very pretty votive candle holder on my vanity.
My manicure kit stays together in a makeup bag. I like having all the bits and polishes handy. What Do You Use To Keep Your Make-Up Organised?
3 brightly coloured cases small cases that I keep in my drawer.
th煤i 膽峄媡!!!
well i have a a vanity with a chair and one drawer the top of my vanity has decor and straightener,curl-n-iron,and a hair dryer my drawer has lip gloss, eyeshadow, blush, foundation, powder,鈥?eyeliner then i have a 3 drawer organizer the first drawer is hair boes, ties, and ribbions the second drawer is miscellaneous, the 3rd drawer is finger nail polish and remover so tht might help
i have the same problem.
i bought a wicked cute bag from claires that
organizes everything. try that
I have a small bucket for my brushes and long pencil stuff like liner, a couple boxes separated into categories, I'm organized.
I keep my stuff organized as follows. Eyeshadows in a large bamboo tray so that I can just see and grab (mostly use bare escentuals). Eye bases go in another bag, eyeliner in yet another. Face stuff goes in my medicine cabinet. Brushes handle down in a candle holder along with my mascara and brow brush. I dedicated the spare bathroom to my beauty regimen, lol. There's a box of body spray and lotion each, one of hair stuff and all that other stuff in a cabinet. I could play all day in there. Sephora has a makeup box that's crazy expensive but nice if your stash is not enormous. It looks nice, just too small for me. Check ebay too, they have some big ones that the pros use to cart stuff around.
I have a vanity that I have Sterilite drawers on to organize things like lipstick, eyeshadows, etc.
I use a ';cup'; to put all my brushes in handle side down.
I have a clinique bag that I use for all my stuff. You could get a bag (small) to keep it in. If you buy stuff from clinique you get a free bag.
you could get some sort of box and have one box for brushes, one for lipsticks, etc.
i have a desk with a mirror.i just put alll my makeup in the drawer

This is a good product for tight lining your eyes:

ey there, i've come across your question on youtube several times, and this one particular makeup artist i subscribe to on youtube is very detailed in her instructions, click on the links below to get to her two part video tutorials on arabic eye makeup (to the right you'll also see other youtube users uploading their own video tutorials for arabic eyes even for a small almond shaped eyes for asian women doing arabic eyes, awesome imo)

Oh, we Paki, Indian, Arab women are BIG on glam looks and dramatic eyemakeup. Our key secret: kajal aka kohl aka dramatic eyeliner. I prefer black liquid eyeliner myself as I have biiiig Audrey Hepburn doe-eyes. To make this work: a) you need to have perfect skin. As my skin is naturally quite light and flawless I dont have to do anything. For prob skin: first use foundation, powder, concealer etc..get it natural and even. b) do NOT go for dramatic lipstick or contoured cheekbones after u've done a dramatic eye look, c) use one shade of medium-deep eyeshadow in whatever color suits your skin, then use a lighter, sparkly highlighter underbrowbone, then just go all-out with the ehavy kajal/eyeliner. some women with smaller eyes tend to look liek raccoons when they line the insides of their eyes so you'll just have toe xperiment. Hope this helps.
Type in ';arabian eyes'; on youtube and you'll get tons of results!

I think it really depends on how bad it was and how mad she is. If it is a little tiff and she gets over it quickly then fine. If she doesn't want to talk to you, the best thing to do is to let her cool down a bit. A heartfelt apology is a must and if she doesn't accept that then let her cool off and try again tomorrow. Don't push it. Buy the flowers when she is almost over it and is in the forgiving stage. You don't buy material things to get a girl to forgive you, you buy them to show you care so after she has accepted your apology, you buy her a gift to show you are sorry and that you care for her. If she is really really really mad, then ummm, I feel for you bro! lol.
Good Luck
let me guess....did you cheat on her? If so, it will be hard to make it up to her as you have broken that trust. Best way is to try to sit down and communicate what you did to upset her so much, and why you did it and that you will never do it again. It would help if you bought her some jewelery, like a nice ring or necklace.....so once you two make up, give it to her.
be really sorry and let it show in ur eyes how sad u r about this situation and promise her that u will never ever do this thing again and tell her how the past few days were so hard on u without her beside u say and how at that moment u knew how precious she is and how without her in ur life ,ur life is empty without a meaning , tell her that she is the air u breath say sorry and hug her really tight and dont leave her before u feel that she forgave u
write her a love letter and I don't mean on here either, STRAIGHT FROM THE HEART. but don't send it on here mail it to her address. cuz if my boyfriend sent me a love letter from the heart in the mail, I would think, oh that is so sweet. he must really be sorry. but then again it depends on what u did. if u cheated on her ,then good luck cuz your sure going to need it.
What does she like to do? Plan an entire day for her perhaps a day spa and a romantic evening. You should still get some flowers or perhaps go to hallmark and create a card for her using pictures of happy times for you two. Over dinner admit you were wrong and ask her for her forgiveness.
HONEY,,U BUY HER ONE RED ROSE,,N A SILVER LOCKET,,U PUT A PIC OF U N HER IN IT,,,AND TELL HER,,,U WILL LOVE HER FOREVER ,,,AND EVERYTIME SHE OPENS AND CLOSES THE LOCKET U R KISSING HER,,,AND GIVE IT TO HER,,ON YOUR KNEES,,,SHE WILL LOVE U FOR EVER,,FOR IT,,,SILVER LOCKETS COST ABOUT 20,,,,,,,,I F YOUR A GOOD BF,,U SHOULD B ABEL TO AFFORD IT,,I F YOU THINK SHES WORTH EVERY PENNY FOR HER LOVE,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,PEACE

You could consider a tale about a ship utilizing cunning and stealth to maneuver into a superior battle position and then ramming a cargo ship in the middle of a moonless night.
The element could be named for a unique metal which was utilized to strengthen the battering ram.

Why do people make up facts to prove that global warming is not real?
Global warming has been proven by scientists who spend their lives doing research in the field. There is a general agreement among the scientific community that the world is taking a turn for the worse, and you will not find any reputable scientist in the field who disagrees. These are the smartest people in the world, and they all agree.
So why do ordinary people with no scientific background (except for maybe taking Jr. High Biology) claim to know everything there is to know about global warming? Why do they insist on making up facts and statistics? I recall someone on Fox News making fun of Stephen Hawking for saying that global warming would eventually end our existence on Earth. In essence, he was saying that Stephen Hawking was dumb.
Why does this stuff get politicized? Why is it so important to so many people that the overall health of the planet and ecosystem should be fully ignored? Why do people make up facts to prove that global warming is not real?
why do poeple make up facts to proof the global warming is the only one factor of climat change? Why do people make up facts to prove that global warming is not real?
First of all, Dav, I would like to know what credentials you posses to be able to claim that the studies being published are all garbage. True, some studies are weak and make stretches to get to the conclusion they are trying to prove; however, MOST STUDIES ARE ACCURATE AND FOLLOW THE SCIENTIFIC METHOD. Have you taken any scientific research classes? If you had you would know that research has to be designed first, which is based on the scientific method. Then once the study is carried out and the report is written, it has to be peer reviewed before it can be published. It is reviewed by other scientists who have nothing to do with the study nor do they have anything to gain by falsifying the results. They look at how the study was designed, carried out, evaluated (i.e. statistics), and reported. in my professional opinion, as a biologist, the only people who are in a position to criticize scientists are other scientists.
Now, on to the question at hand. I'm not going to say that the world is not going through a warming phase, but I will say that it is a natural occurrence. This is why we had ice ages. The earth warms and cools gradually over time. I agree with you though, I wish people who are just in it for political gain would not add to the amount of people in this country who are misinformed and act accordingly.
For the same reason you so fervently believe it is real. There is credible evidence on both sides, but you seldom see much news about the science that doesn't support global warming. That is because most of the news media believes as strongly as you in the absolute proof of global warming. (And also because ';there is no threat to mankind'; isn't news.)
There are large numbers of scientists -- real, honest-to-goodness, peer-reviewed, working scientists -- whose data doesn't support the view that (a) global warming is as bad as has been forecast, and (b) that we can clearly link all of the climate change to human influences.
One of the biggest problems in this discussion has been the disinformation trumpeted by advocates on BOTH sides of the debate; (you see about as much bad science ';news'; coming from the environmental lobby as you do from industry; I don't necessarily trust either side). They both try to make the issue seem much more simple than it really is.
Here are some basic facts, starting with the one that everyone seems to agree is true: The Earth is warming. Every set to thermometers says that; the weather stations, the balloons and the satellites all show warming, although in slightly different amounts. (You won't see much about that on the pro-industry, ';think tank'; websites.)
The Devil is in the details. You read a lot about the Arctic ice melting, but you ought to know that the data has only a couple of data points so it isn't really reliable. You read a lot about the Antarctic calving giant icebergs, but we don't know how much that happened in the past, and there is reliable evidence that shows the Antarctic is cooling and the ice cap is growing.
We also don't know how much of what we see today is natural. We do know that glaciers and ice have been melting, and sea levels have been rising for most of the past 20,000 years. Ice caps have disappeared at the end of every known ice age. It is a natural thing. You won't see much about that on many eco-websites because it doesn't support their political agenda.
This stuff gets politicized because there are literally tens or hundreds of billions of dollars at stake. But the stake is equally high for eco-advocacy groups that have used global warming as the gloom and doom disaster on the horizon to raise millions of dollars in donations.
My goodness, a question with good spelling, punctuation and grammar. I am shocked and grateful to see your question on this forum. It even has logic and develops a thought. Thank you.
Well... people tend to begin with what they believe, and then look for information to prove their beliefs. Opposing views always have and probably always will be disregarded as using inferior data and methodology, by all involved in a disagreement. And the credentials of each side of an argument have been and always will be disputed by the other side of the issue. That is the nature of human beings.
As for science.... well as one professor of advanced statistics and research methods once said in a graduate class, science depends on the use of the scientific method. Since researchers don't use the scientific method, there is no such thing as science. Science will only exist when researchers become well enough informed to apply the scientific method, and the researchers stop mistaking technology and the use of computers for having completed the requirements to qualify their studies as science.
If you look closely at what is now being published, the poor methodology used, the wrong statistics used, what is published is not science, it is garbage.
There are interests in this world who believe that the tackling global warming will hurt their financial interests. Such as the oil industry, the car industry, the energy industry. What they fail to see is that tackling this problem will create more opportunities. The world is constantly evolving. We moved from the horse and cart age into the industrial age. Now it is time to move from this industrial age which is causing us so many problems to the post industrial age where we find cleaner ways of creating energy, cleaner means of transport, fly less, grow our own food locally again, lead more self sufficient and fulfilling lives. It is NOT a step backward but a step forward. Some industries will lose out financially but other industries will find great opportunities and an environment to flourish. We just have to take control of our future and stop letting governments, industries and the media hold us back. The future belongs to us all.
Some people suck. Some have selfish interests to serve. Some people can't help but take the opposing view just to argue. And some people are convinced they are right and other people are wrong.
they are trying their best to be as ignorant as possible...ignorance is bliss...
I don't know where we get it, but my son and I always say, ';scientists are stupid'; when we see weird things...we know we are being stupid ourselves (our own little private joke)...it's just our way of saying we don't get it.....but a lot of people are saying ';scientists are stupid'; and really think scientists are stupid

I need to make up a fake product for a Science project. Do you have any ideas?
I have a science project due tomorrow, and I don't know what to do for it!
This is the assignment:
“Activity: On the other side of this card are 2 household warnings and 1 Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS) warning for a pretend product. On a blank piece of paper, make an advertisement or poster for your product.”
The SYMBOLS I have to use are:
Dangers, Flammable, Poison, if misused can cause serious injury
WHIMIS is:
Poisonous and infectious material causing immediate and serious toxic affects.
I need to make up a product w/ those warnings, and make a name for it. Do you have any ideas for a fake product that I could do? I'm not asking 4 pple to do it 4 me, I just need ideas!I need to make up a fake product for a Science project. Do you have any ideas?
terpintine fits with all the things on your list .
just use that as the product and rename it then list the ingrediants as terpertine.
terpentine is used as a paint thinner for oil paints and other things too.I need to make up a fake product for a Science project. Do you have any ideas?
A cleansing gel that is used for removing oil stains.
What about Nukeaway: Neutralizes Toxic Radioactive waste making it safe to handle. (I got this from a Mork and Mindy program ... that was about 30 years ago).
Greenhouse Gas Dissipator

I left my make up in the car for three days, is it still usable?
I live in Miami and the weather is curently in the 90 degrees ferneheit. My make up was in a makeup case and under shade and the contents were:
Benefit erase paste
benifit mascara
benifit eyeliner
and benifit benetint
These products are rreallly good but kind of pricy. I dont want them to go to waste, but i dont want to harm my very delicate skin either. PLEASE HELP!I left my make up in the car for three days, is it still usable?
I doubt the went bad, but they might have melted which can harm the formulation. Especially in mascaras and eyeliner. If it did mess up the formulation try putting it in the fridge to help it turn back into it's regular consistency.I left my make up in the car for three days, is it still usable?
Probably, as long as it was in the shade.
The thing i would be worried about would be the erase paste? Might irritate your skin if its gone bad.
What you doing leaving pricey make up in the car anyway misses? :D

:) Get a haircut in layers, and then maybe get some highlights. (depending on what color your hair is.) :]
Wear a volumizing mascara with a little bit of eyeliner (on top not bottom) and a pinky eyeshadow.
Dust your cheeks with a little foundation or light blush.
Add lipgloss for a shiny touch.
These are my personal favorite perfumes: Hollister, Miss Dior, Ralph Lauren, %26amp; DKNY. :)
Clothes, wear bright colors for summer, plaid shorts, flip flops, layered tank tops and polka dots. :]

NBA: Foul should have been called at end of Game 4Will the referees make up for their non-call (during Game 4) tonight when the Lakers take on the Spurs?
Since when do the refs ever call a traveling like that? They never do! Traveling in the NBA is just part of the game like the flops have become. No ref calls that a travel so get over it. It's hard to shoot a ball when you have a guy basically jumping on top of you. The Spurs shouldn't have been in that position anyways.
The calls were bad on both ends. I'm so sick of these refs having make up calls. I think it's BS! ';Damn I just missed that call! Oh I'll make up for it on the other end.'; They should just admit they missed a call and not have a make up call. That just makes the game that much worse to watch.
When you have a ref that is 10ft from that play, you have to call that. People say he didn't sell it. He shouldn't have had to sell it. Since when is it not a foul when you have a guy bump into while you're trying to shoot? That gets called all season. If you don't believe me, watch footage of Kobe, Dirk and Manu.
Not a Spurs nor a Lakers fan by the way. Just a fan that hates watching crappy officiated games on both ends of the floor.
So an answer to your question, I hope they don't try to have a make up call in the next game because with that make up call, another has to be for that one. It's a never ending issue. Will the referees make up for their non-call (during Game 4) tonight when the Lakers take on the Spurs?

you mean the Travel that should have been called on Barry on that very play as well?

What happened:
1) Barry catches the inbounds pass from Horry with two feet set.
2) Barry moves his left foot back, therefore his right foot is now the legal pivot foot.
3) Barry now moves his right foot back (pivot foot), which makes his left foot the pivot foot (called shuffling) and dribbles
Rules:
http://www.nba.com/analysis/rules_10.htm鈥?/a>
a. The pivot foot may be lifted, but not returned to the playing court,
before the ball is released on a pass or try for goal;
b. The pivot foot shall not be lifted before the ball is released to start a
dribble.
Therefore, not only did he shuffle his feet, he also moved it before he released the ball.
That's 2 traveling violations on one play.
But people are complaining about the foul call, and not acknowledging the travel that happened simulataneously.
Edit: The conspiracy of LA/Boston final is ridiculous. It would not live up to the hype. Remember the previous 2 games this season, there was all this hype leading up to them, and what happened? Boston came in and gave LA a beating they won't forget. I would much rather have an LA/Detroit final.
Edit: Yes, the NBA may not call this traveling violation a lot, but that doesn't take away the fact that it is a traveling violation and should be called.
Edit: BuonoCJ, It is a travel, watch the replay, he CLEARLY changes his pivot foot. You obviously can't tell what a travel is. How can you change your pivot foot and not be called for a travel? E.g. Okay I'll use my right foot as a pivot foot, and then oh wait nvm I'll change to my left foot as the pivot and move my right foot. You realize how ignorant your post sounds?
It was a bad no-call. It happens. What would it mean for the refs to make up for it tonight? Not send Kobe to the charity stripe?
The NBA Conspiracy Theory is getting out of control. Seriously, if the NBA hated the Spurs as much as everyone says, why do they have four championships since 1999? Why would they let the ';boring'; Spurs beat the ';exciting'; Suns in last year's conference semi-final? If it was all about marketing conspiracies, why do the Knicks suck so much? How did the NBA allow the ';boring'; Spurs to beat the Knicks for the championship in 1999? How come Cleveland was allowed to draft Lebron, and not NY, or LA, or Chicago?
to Ball dont lie - it would have been a travel had he not also been starting his dribble...since he as starting his dribble at the same time he moved the foot then its not a travel. There was a foul and the NBA acknowledged that today.
Tony e - that was a goal tend the ball hit the back board then it was hit by a laker player...after the ball touches the back board it cant be touched until it is obvious the ball will not go in.
Im sure there will be a call or non call in the nextgame that everyone will say was to make-up for that foul not being called.
not if david stern and the league can help it...
hey maybe the nba will put joey crawford as the head official again?
even if they make up for the non-foul in game 4...it's not like it's going to help the spurs...they've (nba) clearly stacked the odds against the spurs already by fixing game 4...
there's no way the spurs can win 4 in a row...
the nba has done it's job...they've eliminated the spurs from the finals...
it's because the spurs style of play and market area doesn't generate enough viewers and revenue for the league...so ofcourse Los Angeles is a better choice...
Your not supposed to give make up calls. It happens, but its not supposed to.
Of course, could Barry's non-call be a make up call on the goal tending call, the missed 24 second clock violation call, and the Duncan running all the way from the opposing free throw line dunk traveling non-call? Bad refereeing on both sides. Its a shame that they are playing too much of a role in the game. Refs should be background players to keep things honest, not game deciders.
Oh my goodness, Spurs Fans-your team lost-get over it!! First off, a game shouldn't be decided by one call-if you can't get it done, then one call isn't going to make a difference.
As far as a makeup call-a make up call for which one? Timmy D's 5 step layup from the 3 point line? Or the 24 clock mess up? Which jacked up call would you be referring to?
Lakers in 5, by the way.
The Spurs have already got more than their fair share of the calls. They wouldnt have even been in the game if it wasnt for the Refs getting them back in it with the BS fouls they were giving to Parker every time he went to the hoop
They already did! They didn't call the ball hitting the rim, so they made up for the call by allowing the play. Plus, it would have only been 2 free throws and not 3, since Brent Barry was dribbling!
they should have called traveling on barry. and duncan, and parker, and the ball hit the rim, twice with no reset of the shot clock. too many no calls to pick one.
Of course the refs wont make up for that non-call. That would be totally UNETHICAL. Stern will not allow that to happen!! lololphone
