In the Ruy Lopez opening, what pieces move to where? Please explain using the numbered ranks and lettered files. Ex. Moving the king side white rook all the way up the board would take it from 1A to 8A and moving it from its starting space to the other side of the board takes it from 1A to 1H.In chess, what are the moves that make up the Ruy Lopez opening?
Sure.
Algebraic Notation has been the standard since the 70s. The white queen rook is a1 The black king rook is h8. Its like a battleship grid....
Anyways, the Ruy Lopez is named after a spanish priest who lived in the 1500s, Ruy L贸pez de Segura. He is considered an unoffical world champion and credited for using this opening. Ironically, we do have a history of three games he played, none of which or the Ruy Lopez. It is still very common in tournament play today.
The main theme is
1. e2-e4 e7-e5
2. Ng1-f3 Nb8-c6
3. Bf1-b5. ...
White makes an assult on the the queen knight, hoping to occupy the center further. Notice that both knights are attacking squares dr and e5. This could be an easy way to gain a pawn for white. Also If white takes the knight, black will normally take back with the pawn on d7. This creates doubled pawns, which typically are weak.
Black can do several things from this position. He can deveolp His Knight on g8 to f6, or even e7, Though it hems him in a bit. He can develop his Bishop. He can question the Bishop, 3... a6. White then has to either take or move it. Personally I like to play 3... Nc6 d4. It removes The pin, it attacks the Bishop, It prevents doubled pawns. However you'll have to trade of a knight you moved twice early on... Anyways. WIkipedia has some useful stuff on chess openings. I posted a link.
Oh... about the pawn on e5. It can be used as bait! Heres a quick game...
1. e2-e4 e7-e5
2. Ng1-f3 Nb8-c6
3. Bf1-b45 Bf8-c5
4. B x Nc6 d7 x Bc6
5. Nf3 x e5? Qd8-d4
White was too greedy, and now Black is threatening a mate and the knight at once. Not all pawns are free. Anyways, hope this explains. In chess, what are the moves that make up the Ruy Lopez opening?
Coffee gave you a very good answer.
Pawn to King 4. Then Black Pawn to King 4. Then White. King Knight to Bishop 3. Then Black Knight to Queen side Bishop 3. Then white's king side bishop to b5. That's it!

I have this http://www.sephora.com/browse/product.jh鈥?/a> and it is really nice because I have pale skin.
However, with what you are looking for, you could get that (what I have) and just go to sephora and look at the lipsticks, use that light pick, and then re-aplly the lid and lip primar.
It works very well.
try the JORDANA, LANCOME and AVON

When do you think parents should allow their daughters to wear make-up?
When (what age) do you think is a good time? When do you think parents should allow their daughters to wear make-up?
I think around Middle School, if the daughter wants to wear it, then it's ok. But not a lot. Maybe some mascara and some lip gloss......maybe just a tad bit of powder........I don't think any younger than that they should be wearing anything except lip gloss......and once they do start, teach them how to put a little on...not a lot......not to make it obvious that you have it on.......When do you think parents should allow their daughters to wear make-up?

I think when they enter high school, it doesn't matter when they're in junior high. Just don't put on too much make up, it really ruins your face, natural is the best way to go, maybe with a few sprucings. Report Abuse
when they know not to put so much on that they look like whorebags...maybe sophomore or junior in high school, if they're okay, maybe even freshman...but just not anytime before that
13?
I've seen them at Royalty Beauty Pageants as young as 3. Look at the world around you. Did you know that a few years ago Abercrombie and Fitch came out with kids thongs?
It is what ever age you feel comfortable letting them wear it. Look at JonBenet Ramsey and Brooke Shields in Pretty Baby. And if anyone gives you any lip about it (pardon the pun) let them read this.
Child beauty pageants are a multi million dollar industry, kids as young as 3 wear lipstick (as in LIPSTICK not lip gloss) eye shadow, etc.
my daughter can wear make-up when she can move out and vote.
Im 17 And I Dont Wear Makeup But On The Other Hand My Sisters 12 And I Hate That She Wears Make-up.. She Does It To ';Be Cool'; I Guess.. But I Think She Should Have Waited A Year Or So... So Maybe 13 Or 14
For me it will be at the age of 16...because you are starting you to be conscious of everything. At this age...crushes and admirers...and you want to feel cool...But frankly speaking..makeups sometimes will just make your face look matured...and i go for simple ones...
my mom worked for mary k , she told me how to use make-up , i usual don't wear allot and i only wear dark colors at night . I started wearing make up at the age 10 or 11 but it was only like lip stick (light color) and mascara . but for me i think around the age 13 would be OK but even then not real heavy .
I was allowed to do it at any age I want. However, I was educated by my mom about it.
You don't want to wear it in public when you're 7, but it's OK to experiment with it in front of the mirror, where noone will see you.
It is silly to wear too much or when noone else of your age is wearing it. You don't want to look like a baby clown.
I think good age is when you're transitioning to look like a young lady rather than a girl. It waries. Since this transitoin is slow and moderate, I'd say, transition from wearing no cosmetics at all to wearing makeup should be slow and moderate as well. Start wearing very little, develop full make up in a few years. This is the best way to develop taste.
Like I said, I was allowed to wear makeup at any age I wanted. I started wealing mascara and lip gloss at the age of 15, for special events. I experimented with stuff in front of the mirror since I was 6. I put watercolor on my face when I was 4. My mom had a good laugh out of it.
Depends, if your daughter has bad blemishes or acne, then concealer should probably be permitted at any age. Also, being naturally blonde, I had ';rabbit eyes'; and being very self conscious, it was hard not wearing mascara. With my daughter, I will help her with any blemishes or acne at any age, and in about 5th or 6th grade, I will let her wear clear mascara to define her eyelashes. I think junior high is fine for lip gloss and mascara, and by high school it's her choice within reason. More importantly is when your kids can wear low rise jeans and cleavage revealing shirts. Makeup is just the start!!!
i started at 6 years old i ware make-up some time but not ever day i ware make-up when im goin place.
not one single day before their 16, that goes for piercings too kids try to grow up to fast on thier own sometimes we as parents have to slow them down and later on they will say dad im glad you didnt let me .
When they go out and get a job to pay for it.
i started at 7
Hms, as a little girl I just started playing around with make-up but I offically started wearing make-up around the age of 15 because my doctors told me that wearing make up younger then that will increase wrinkles and deepen the lines as you aged. Sooo...huh, this is just me but I would rather have a daughter beautiful and natural then with deep *** wrinkles.
I have three sons, but have always wanted a little girl...but I will be honest with you I think a young woman ought to know how to apply makeup...and having said that I think that each young woman is different, there cannot be a set age. I have seen some as young as 10 wear it and wear it well...while I have seen 16 and 17 year olds that look like tramps. Education is probably the key to learning the correct age...when a young woman learns how to apply it is one thing, but the thing to know is how much...
I personally would allow a daughter of my own to try it when I thought she was ready. Every child is different...
Good luck...
i started at like 3 but only wore make up to school and stuff when i was like in 7th grade
10 my sister is 10 and she loves guys and wants make up so bad so i gave it to her and she is hot

I appear to be allergic to eye make up. Can anyone recommend a brand that will not affect my eyes please?
I would like a brand that offers some good colours that won't make my eyes sore.I appear to be allergic to eye make up. Can anyone recommend a brand that will not affect my eyes please?
use any good brand.use powder eyeliner but dip brush in water first, squeeze of excess then dab onto powder and gently apply, dont rub in.when removing it use egoderm cream and a makeup bud to remove.this cream is fantastic,it is especially for reactive skin, dont use it all around your eyes just to remove the eyeliner.I used to get red rimmed, itchy eyes from makeup.now i dont.If its not the skin that is reacting but your eyes go red and watery, then before you put makeup on put in some antihystamine eye drops.then when you remove the makeup put them in again.cheersI appear to be allergic to eye make up. Can anyone recommend a brand that will not affect my eyes please?
Any hypoallergenic range should work.
There are lots on this google search page.

Are you actually allergic or did you just get some makeup in your eye? How old is the mascara you used (old mascara can cause irritation)?
What brands have you tried?
I'd sugget going with mineral eyeshadow, personally, as it's gentler than the conventional stuff.
Try something that is marked hypoallergenic - but be careful.
any brand that says hypoallergenic on it check out your local chemist for brands that have that sign on them
Have you tried the Body Shop? you could ask the staff there for advice, or Boots try their make up counters. There must be something you could try ion one of those shops.
If you appear to be allergic to eye make up no brand would cure that or be okay for your eyes.
buy very cheap make-up or maxfactor
try clinque.

What kind of make-up can I wear to hide my dark under-eye circles until I get them to fade, anyway how can I ?
do that? I'm talking foundations and stuff unless theres some sort of cream that will get rid of them that is a good price. Please make it available in Australia, I'm sorta new to this internet purchasing thing. :D What kind of make-up can I wear to hide my dark under-eye circles until I get them to fade, anyway how can I ?
There is a company called Benefit based out of San Francisco that makes an eye cream called Eyecon. It's worked wonders for me! Another of their products that works really well for me is called Erase Paste, it's a concealer for under your eyes that you can put on under or over your foundation. It's a little pricey but I would definitely recommend it for under eye problems! What kind of make-up can I wear to hide my dark under-eye circles until I get them to fade, anyway how can I ?
I hate under-eye circles mine are so dark.
All i do is put on my foundation as normal then put concealer under my eyes, it works for me. Im not sure if there is a product to actually remove the darkness under your eyes, maybe just try getting more sleep, drinking more water etc.phone

How to I stop my make up from clumping up in the crease of my eye lid?
Heyy! Is there some way that I can keep my eye shadow from all going to the crease in my eye lid? Or are there some different eye shadows to try that don't do that?? Not too expensive of a brand...just like something I can get at Wal-Mart? :)
Thanks soo much if ya answer! :DHow to I stop my make up from clumping up in the crease of my eye lid?
You're gonna need a primer, sunshine. I recommend MACs, or the one from COASTALSCENTS.COM.You can also try the loreal HIP paints. They provide a great sticky base to make your shadow stick. Try that!!How to I stop my make up from clumping up in the crease of my eye lid?
Try using a primer or oil-blotting sheets throughout the day. Lancome has a primer thats SUPER expensive but works. Or you could just use a good transfer-proof foundation before you apply. All eyeshadows will do that if you have oily skin and/or eyes with no crease. I actually have both and my transfer proof makeup works fine
Urban Decays Eyeshadow primer is the BEST. I am a skin care specialist and I understand you want to get something at walmart but it's inexpensive for the brand name.

It's not the product, it's what you apply it with. Invest in a decent eyeshadow brush and it should gather a better amount f product and only go into selective areas.
Wow there;s still people that dont know what an eyeshadow PRIMER IS????? WOOOOOOOOW and dude your not going to find anything thats going to hold your e/s from Walmart nor Target you need
UDPP (URBAN DECAY PRIMER POTION)!!!! 17 bcuks at Sephora

Is there any make up tips for pale, circular faces?
I can not seem to find the right makeup for my skin tone!Is there any make up tips for pale, circular faces?
I would suggest going to a make-up counter, or visiting a make-up artist and asking him/her for tips and advice as to what products to buy and how to use it. It'll help wonders. However, if you can't do this, simply do your make-up as you normally would, then take a light bronzer, and using a large blusher brush, apply the bronzer along your hair line, your cheek bones, and your jawline, plus anywhere else the sun would naturally hit you. This is a quick remedy for the paleness (which I would actually embrace, porcelain skin is beautiful), and it will give you the illusion of more sculpted bone-structure by really defining your cheek bones and jaw line. Just remember to blend so your make-up looks more natural, and not clown-like or painted on. Good luck!Is there any make up tips for pale, circular faces?
Go to the department store and have the saleslady help you match a foundation to your skin tone. Try an asian brand like Shisheido. They make lighter colored foundations
I have a pale, round face.. And I always always go with Covergirl they have such great makeup. Go with their palest color in liquid, and then use a powder with a blush brush over. I would also say get a really nice pink blush too. But be careful.. It will look way to pink if you use too much because of your skintone. And I like to go with pink and light copper eyeshadow colors. Try MAC for eyeshadow.
